Just recently I had the pleasure to take a short trip with Airasia and I got my seat reserved in advance. That comes with a price tho, even not the premium red colored seat. There are three type of seat offered in Airasia flight:
1. Free seat – automatically assigned a seat no.
2. Advance reserve seat – Pick a seat that is given a wide choices. (RM6)
3. Premium Red seat – Better seat with bigger space I assume. (RM60)
If you are going after the RM6 seat, be advised not to select those that is in front of red colored seat as those seat will not be allowed to adjust the head rest. And, do take note as well not to select the last row cause it wont be able to adjust the head rest since it is closely positioned toward the toilet wall. And, one thing to note which is, you will be intruded with passerby that queues for the toilet.
P/S: Tho, you could change seat once the plane has close it’s door, but you are not allowed to sit on those red colored seat since that is a premium seat. Unless you’re sitting on those already then you could change. Otherwise, you can only change those seat that is other than the red covered. But do be reminded that, others are also waiting for change just like you if you’re thinking of doing such. Unless you’re just wanted to try your luck, otherwise, will be advisable to pay a little for a better seat throughout the journey.
