Adsense + Youtube = Adstube?
I believe most of us who surfs the net have come across the youtube videos or the adsense advertisement. It’s pretty common to bump into them now since adsense gives you the monetary and youtube provides the free video hosting. In 2006, one of the top search engine, Google, acquired youtube foreseeing the benefits in bring the company nearing to its’ objective of “organizing the worlds information…and video is an important part of the worlds information”. Quote from Sergey.
And approx. three years have past, the information has expanded to include the almighty advertorial from “adsense”. If you have not know it yet, then you sure know it here first.
Some of youtube’s video posted on the net are now with the ads display integrated. While you might be enjoying your most interesting videos, the ads will be shown at the bottom of the video. But of cause, you’re allowed to close the ads if you find it annoying. I just came across of it when I was viewing one of the video posted in a blog and it caught me by surprise. I made a little searching and found out Google has already provided a simple feature to integrate the ads into the player of the youtube video. Such a good marketing isn’t it? Right, it might seems to be annoying but at least it doesn’t force you to break like those television’s ads?
Hopefully the ads will be limited to text ads and not those full graphic ads that would popup in the middle of the video or forcing the movie to halt while you’re watching it and intercept it with movie ads. Then that would be irritating! But who are here to say when those facilities are provided free with no fees charged and most importantly, it’s all belong to Google afterall.
