Lately, the figure of my blood pressure result seems to be at the high side. It have even touched the crucial stage where medication should be resorted. But things doesn’t seem quite accurate when I re-tested it in the morning, just after waking up. The reading was at the normal rate which is opposite to the figure I got the previous day (tested in the late night).
I searched through the net, there were articles posted claiming that the reading is more accurate when:
1. immediately after awakening (before washing/dressing and taking breakfast/drink), while the body is still resting,
2. immediately after finishing work.

I am keeping my finger crossed since the bp reading result which was taken immediately after awakening is below the border line figure. But I am curious what if my bp reading is above crucial figure during the working hours or normal period? Does it bring any harm to health?
Knowing the fact that my weight is increasing with the waist measurement inline, I am quite concern with the high bp reading. Below are some tips I gathered through the net in which potentially could lower the bp reading:
1. Exercise 30min a day
2. 5min breathe deeply morning n night
3. Pick potassium-rich food; sweet potatoes, tomatoes, orange juice, potatoes, bananas, kidney beans, peas, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and dried fruits such as prunes and raisins.
4. Lower sodium(salt) intake
5. Take 1/2 ounce of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
6. Take supplement (coenzyme reduce blood pressure)
7. Drink moderately. (12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine or 1.5 ounces of spirits.)
8. Go decaf. Caffeine raise blood pressure.
9. Go for hibiscus tea. (would lower sysbolic bp)
10. Work a little less. (try to lay back and reduce bring work to home)
11. Relax with music. (Or go for vacation and have some peace of mind).
12. Have a good sleep.
Guess my remaining half year resolution for 2010 should be working to lower bp figure!

I helped my mum to replenish her fish oil pill supplement. Guardian was having a clearance sale in Centro and the price was going cheap as per GF. I also bought the evening primrose for my mum since it was also on offer.
It is known to me that evening primrose is meant for the females as supplement but I wasn’t quite sure what fish oil do benefits our health. A little searching around the net found out that it was indeed full of beneficial supplement in addition to our balance diet. One thing notable to me was the omega-3 which relates to the DHA and EPA which help improves the brain (i guessed). But later on, after some read up on wikipedia, it is more into helping depression where it could act as mood stabilizer and reduce inflammation throughout the body. Besides, it only helps in preventing death threats such as cancer (prostate and breast cancer). It is highly recommended for those who are suffering from hypertriglyceridemia, secondary cardiovascular disease prevention and high blood pressure.
I am forcing myself to consume sufficient Vitamin C in hope to speed up my recovery from the sickness I caught past few days and knowing those benefits of this fish oil makes me wanted to have one tonight.

After since my medical checkup, the doctors word have been hitting my head for sometime. Whenever I see supplements or go for gym, my liver reading stated in my medical report would reflects in my mind. It worries me abit as I seldom drink alcohols. It even worries me when my weight is increasing. I am unsure what is the main reason behind the weird reading on my liver but definately, I need to do something on it.
It was then that I’ve got advised from one of my client to try the milk thistle, I tried to source for one in the local pharmacy. At first, I wanted to get myself the bio-life and I ask her to get it for me. But when she went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist suggested Thomson Livrin 300.
Been taking it for few days now and I hardly feel any differences (maybe the first day where I have difficulty to sleep) but since then, everything seems normal. I guess I will need to seek for another checkup to verify the effectiveness through that fact sheet. But for now, I’ll continue eating till it finish and plan for another medical checkup later.
