Is 090909 an Auspicious date?

Just happened to know one of my ex-senior colleague getting ROM (Registration of Marriage) on that particular date. Even I was being reminded the auspicious date (in Chinese, 090909 means long in mandarin) for ROM. Then out of curiosity, I went to google for the date, to check how many have discuss about it.

It was indeed an extraordinary day where there were few remarkable events falls on the same day. To name a few, below listed the events of that day:

1. Interconnectedness
2. World Day
3. Sexual Energy Activation Day

And many more…

As eventful as the day may seems, it is also a day where, to some, are not that auspicious (if you’re superstitious). It falls in the period of Hungry Ghost festival.

But I believe it is still a day in a month of the year where the date is memorable. Would somehow make it a special day.
