Free file hosting including music hosting…
My colleague asked me where to get free hosting service. There are quite a number of them now in the recent hits after Youtube and Flickr. I believe everyone is jumping into the bandwagon. It might be too good to be true with the “free” word in the context, there are for sure certain hidden cost in between. But well, if the hidden cost doesn’t involves you but your audience, then it might not be affecting you much as long as your objective met.
So I googled for the keyword “free music hosting” and found filefactory. It provides a quick upload up to 25 files at one go(I don’t think you’ll utilise that much) and 300mbs per each file. This definately enough to host whatever song my colleague which to host but the main request is not only hosting but with a player that allows the user to play it and Filefactory cater for it as well with their audio gadget! Of cause, you need an account to mantain the files to host with them(I believe this is something to do with copyright stuff). They also provide generator of snippets to ease the implementation of the audio gadget onto your website.
