Brembo rotor, Project Miu Brake Pad, Denso Spark Plug

It’s been a while after getting my rotor fixed. I posted about my encounters quite some time ago and it is a common issues among those honda civic FD owners. The reason behind was what I heard, due to the brake pad used that has a low resistant toward heat which indirectly affects the rotor to warp. Though it is merely by suspicious among those who suffered the same problem that comes to this reasoning, but I guess I could only try it to fix my braking vibration.

I went to quicksave and got my brakepad changed along with the rotor. The brakepad still have 40% left even after 3 years of usage. Not sure if the brakepad are long lasting by nature or I am not a slow driver which doesn’t uses the brake frequently. I opted for Project Miu brakepad and brembo rotor (but was initially planned for Project Miu rotor since they didnt have ready stock plus they were having promotion for Brembo so why not). I was also having some concern over the Project Miu rotor earlier cause it’s designed as slotted but I wanted the normal ones. I surveyed around on which would probably suits me and found out the normal ones are as good since I am not going for track nor I frequently uses the brake that requires the slotted design to be in place.

After a month driving on the new rotor and brakepad, I have yet to experience any juddering or vibration when braking. I guess I can safely assume my problem is fixed. Though there are more other problems that I am concerned now, will post on it later.

I have also got my spark plug changed. Amazingly, it works wonder! I could not tell exactly, or rather technically, why it makes me feel so but the performance of the car seems to have improved drastically. A light tap on the acceleration pedal can easily move the car, not to mention a hard and sudden ones (imagine the pickup!). Well, that is the most notable improvement compares to my engine oil change (to Mobil1 gold which some acclaim it does improve the performance). Am thinking to schedule for a replacement on those plug at an interval of 30k mileage (last changed at 74 000) in hope to have this long lasting performance.

Some stuff which kept is down in my wish list:
1. Get hayden transmission cooler-with this current new plug, am constantly dragging the RPM compares to previous driving style. quite worry on the gearbox.
2. Upsize to 17″ and lighter rim!-been drooling on oz alleggerita.

3. Repaint my car

My concern on reliability issue which prompt me to save budget in getting these change ASAP:
1. Change Torque rod, engine mount, Power steering hose, Belt tensioner, change Power Steering fluid

I guess these are all the measures that one should foresee in getting a car. Well, nothing to whine about, worst case, will consider getting a cheaper ride.

Fujifilm Finepix x100

I am one of those who love to view good photos, be it on human, nature or physical objects. It reflect the moment of captures and give a memory of what have past. My interest is even more on videography where it could be played with sounds and motion. It’s all started off when I got myself a Sony Ericsson i750. Photos taken using the mobile device has far exceed my expectation (as a beginner) and I started off making a habit capturing moments for memories.

I have had my fare share of experience using different models of camera. Not that it is many but I have used Nikon and Canon. I prefer Canon than Nikon, purely base on my preference. Certainly, different users have different view on the models but that was not what I am intended to post this.

Just recently, I am fortunate to own a Fujifilm Finepix x100. I was considering to get myself a DSLR when I have enough fund for it but, well, I got it among one of my birthday gift. I guess it’s pretty much fated, to not have the luxury to own a DSLR but a compact camera. No, no, I’m not saying the x100 is any less better, but it is considered as a compact camera.

I still have alot more to learn, no doubt. The camera has too much functions and up to now, those which could be taken with “Auto” mode, are in Auto. To name a few, the aperture, shutter speed, focus and some others. I’m still new to the shooting world but hopefully, someday, I could proclaim myself a profession photographer. Ahhh, long way still.

Alright, back to the topic, I would be posting my share bit of journey in photography at Fujifilm x100 Photography. More or less in my discovery using the x100 and experience in photoshooting. Hopefully I will have more time in shooting.
